Dear FO° Reader,

Greetings from the Bay Area, where tech companies drive the local economy. With the freedom of working from home remotely and the accessibility of having food and goods delivered to one’s doorstep, our world is become ever more smaller. Simply put, no tech employee needs to leave the comfort of their home if they want to.

So how do we make sense of the world’s complexities and far-flung events when we live in a bubble? The answer is to see events and issues through a multiplicity of perspectives and then come to our own conclusions. Fair Observer provides the platform for anyone, from a teenager in Palestine to the former prime minister of Ireland, to publish their views, as long as their arguments are cogent and claims are factually correct.

From its inception in 2011 to now, Fair Observer has always been independent, ad-free, and never owned or operated by a billionaire benefactor. As the physical world shrinks and the digital world expands, Fair Observer provides the means to truly broaden our minds: to understand, empathize, and engage with the pressing issues that affect our global community.

Help us become a truly global, citizen-funded, citizen-supported, and citizen-led organization!

Here’s what you can do:

  • Finally, you could donate and participate in giving programs organized by your company or organization. Companies often match, double, or even triple the amount you choose to give >>> either go to www.fairobserver.com/donate or go to your company’s internal platform and find us

I have supported Fair Observer for years and have recently taken charge as the chief financial officer (CFO). Please join me in supporting this 501(c)(3) organization so anyone and everyone can make sense of the world.

Sincerely,

Ti Ngo

We rely on your support for our independence, diversity and quality.

For more than 10 years, Fair Observer has been free, fair and independent. No billionaire owns us, no advertisers control us. We are a reader-supported nonprofit. Unlike many other publications, we keep our content free for readers regardless of where they live or whether they can afford to pay. We have no paywalls and no ads.

In the post-truth era of fake news, echo chambers and filter bubbles, we publish a plurality of perspectives from around the world. Anyone can publish with us, but everyone goes through a rigorous editorial process. So, you get fact-checked, well-reasoned content instead of noise.

We publish 2,500+ voices from 90+ countries. We also conduct education and training programs on subjects ranging from digital media and journalism to writing and critical thinking. This doesn’t come cheap. Servers, editors, trainers and web developers cost money.
Please consider supporting us on a regular basis as a recurring donor or a sustaining member.
