Yves Leterme is the former prime minister of Belgium, serving from 2007 to 2011. Belgium held the presidency of the European Union during his tenure in office. He then served as deputy secretary-general of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris from 2011 to 2014. Leterme is currently the secretary-general of the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA).
