Yashasvi Nain

Yashasvi Nain is an international lawyer for humanitarian justice and inclusive development. He is also a Hans Wilsdorf scholar at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights. Nain is currently working with the International Advocacy and Programing Unit at the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI), and he leads CHRI's work at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. He has previously worked with various UN and international organizations, including the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, and the International Red Cross. He has written extensively on UN peacekeeping operations, statelessness, international humanitarian law and human rights, universal periodic review, the UN Human Rights Council, small states and capacity building, responsibility to protect, and international crimes tribunals.
