Tanisha Desai

I am a Junior in high school pursuing my IBDP program at Dhirubhai Ambani International School. I like to call myself an expressionist. From the visual arts, writing, dance, drama to TED-Ed, ventriloquism and playing the guitar, the arts have paved the way for me to express myself. I aspire to be an author and illustrator. I'm currently working on curating digital illustrations for a children's story book and have started writing a novel myself. I'm passionate about battling societal issues using writing and art as my weapons. I've been conducting art workshops to raise funds for the underprivileged. I'm a recipient of the REX Karmaveer Chakra award instituted by iCONGO in partnership with the United Nations for my contributions to society. My recent essay submission on Empathy was handpicked to be showcased at the Global Empathy conference in Prague in May 2024.
