Syed Muntasir Mamun is a financial analyst-turned-diplomat. He holds a PhD in Regional Economic Integration and is professionally qualified in peacekeeping, maritime security, international humanitarian law, and laws of armed conflict. He speaks French and Russian and has held policy positions on India, China, East Asia and the Pacific. His personal interest lies in designing a grand vision for South Asia over the coming decades. He has written extensively on peacekeeping and peacebuilding, as well as on strategy and innovation for the political economies of South, East and Southeast Asia. A career foreign service officer, Mamun is currently at the Saïd Business School of Oxford University.
