Saira Joomun was born in London to Mauritian parents and raised in the UK and Mauritius. She graduated with a BA (Hons) First in Humanities: History with Combined Studies with a thesis looking at Diego Garcia: The Anomaly of Nationalism in a Colonialist Era. Saira then went on to complete a GDL law conversion course at BPP Professional Education, and is currently completing a Master's in Sustainability Leadership with the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership where she is researching Sustainable AI practices within companies. Saira has over 19 years of experience in the legal sector incorporating editorial, research, market intelligence, business development and client strategy roles.
