Oliver Hidalgo has a PhD in Political Science and is a lecturer at the University of Regensburg. He specializes in the history of political ideas, democratic theory and the relation between religion and politics. He has been the speaker of the DVPW study group “Politik und Religion” since 2009. In spring 2012 he finished his habilitation treatise concerning the theoretical antinomies of democracy.
