Norman Solomon is an American journalist, media critic, activist and former US congressional candidate from San Francisco, California. He founded the Institute for Public Accuracy in 1997, where he remains its executive director. Norman co-founded RootsAction, an online activist group, in 2011. He was among the speakers who announced ExposeFacts, an ongoing project for the Institute, in 2014. Norman was a Bernie Sanders delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 2016 and 2020. He has authored numerous books about war and news media.
