Mogens Lykketoft is a Danish politician who has been the Speaker of Danish Parliament (Folketing) since 2011. From 1993-2000, he served as the Minister of Finance under Prime Minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen and then assumed the post of Foreign Minister, which he held for one year until November 2001.Lykketoft was the leader of the Danish Social Democrats from 2002-05. The politician has published several books about Danish politics and society.
