Mohamed Abdallah

Associate Professor, College of Science and Engineering at Hamad Bin Khalifa University.
Dr. Mohamed Abdallah received his BSc from Cairo University in 1996, and holds an MSc and a PhD from the University of Maryland at College Park. From 2006 to 2016, he held academic and research positions at Cairo University and Texas A&M University in Qatar. Currently, he is a founding faculty member and associate professor at the Information and Computing Technology Division of College of Science and Engineering at Hamad Bin Khalifa University. Abdallah is the recipient of the 2016 Research Fellow Excellence Award at Texas A&M University, the best paper award at the IEEE BlackSeaCom in 2019 and the IEEE First Workshop on Smart Grid and Renewable Energy in 2015, and the Nortel Networks Industrial Fellowship for five consecutive years, 1999-2003. He has published more than 140 papers and serves as associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Communications and IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society. He is a senior member of the IEEE.
