Luca Zanchi is a PhD candidate in Cultural Studies at Stony Brook University and a Fulbright alumnus. He holds a MA in Contemporary Art History and Visual Culture from the Reina Sofia Museum and Universidad Complutense of Madrid, and an MFA from the University of Salamanca. His current research focuses on the role played by modified states of consciousness in art and political dissidence. He has written about the Italian migration crisis and the forgotten people of Chernobyl.
