Ladli Prasad Shunglu was born on November 6, 1919, in Indore. He spent his early life in Lahore and Indore. Following Partition, he moved to India and worked in the airline industry. He was fond of his meat, horse racing and weightlifting, and is described by his family as a playboy. He passed away on January 27, 2016.
