Dr. Karen L. Newman is Associate Professor of English at the University of Indianapolis, where she teaches courses in teacher education, second language composition, literature, European modern arts, and service-learning. Her research and service address teacher professional development and international education. She has served on the boards of Indiana Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (INTESOL), Women Writing for (a) Change, Bloomington, and the Affiliate Network Professional Council of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
