Joseph Mendy is a graduate student at the University of Trento, Italy. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in European and International Studies. He obtained his first degree at the University of The Gambia and went on to work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Banjul and at the US Embassy of Banjul. Mendy was an election observer in Liberia and his native Gambia in 2011. He keenly follows international affairs, with special interests in human rights and governance in Africa.
