John Milios

John Milios is a professor of political economy and the history of economic thought at the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. He has authored more than 300 scholarly papers in various languages, including Greek, English and German. His most recent book is “The Origins of Capitalism as a Social System. The Prevalence of an Aleatory Encounter” (Routledge 2018). He is also director of the quarterly journal of economic and political theory, Thesseis. Between 2010 and 2014, he was the chief economic advisor of the Syriza party in Greece.
