Harshini Rajachander

Harshini Rajachander, originally from India, has been a temporary resident of the US for the past seven years. Her passion for writing about timely issues began during her school years when she wrote about global warming for her school magazine. She gave up writing to pursue an engineering degree at the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, after which she moved to the US for a master’s in robotics and AI at the University of California, San Diego. However, working in the high-tech industry and facing the reality of VC-controlled start-ups proved incompatible with Harshini’s values and dreams. She finally decided to quit the tech industry and make her way towards writing again. Her essays, focusing on tech and immigration, have been featured in the Smart Set, India Currents, and her own Substack, “Fourth Waver in Tech.”
