Gil Guerra is an American immigration policy analyst at the Niskanen Center, a think tank in Washington, DC. He is also the 2024 Latin America Fellow with Young Professionals in Foreign Policy's Rising Experts Program. Gil's research focuses on immigration and foreign policy, with citations in outlets such as The Washington Post, The BBC, The Economist, Bloomberg and others. After earning his BA in Political Science at Swarthmore College, Guerra earned his MA in Global Security and Borders at Queen's University Belfast as a George J. Mitchell Scholar. A bilingual researcher, Guerra is especially interested in ways immigration policy can be used to strengthen international alliances.
