Deepika’s documentary, Martyrs of Marriage, on the misuse of the section 498A of the Indian Penal Code, also known as anti-dowry law, was released globally on Netflix in 2018. India's Sons, her latest film, narrates ordeals of men who were falsely accused of rape. Deepika’s films are well-crafted and well-researched. A noted public speaker, Deepika was featured by the BBC in Asian women to watch out for in their 2017 television series.
