Dar Javed hails from Kashmir. Holding a master's degree in craft design, management, and entrepreneurship from the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, Dar Javed is a dedicated research student focusing on Peace Activities in Kashmir. He is affiliated with Aid to Artisans USA and also serves as an India Consultant for CreativeLearning.org, a US-based organization involved in World Bank-funded initiatives in India. In 2021, he was honored with the Young Achiever Award by the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir for his accomplishments. He has written for the Colombo Gazette, Daily Bangladesh and Hindustan Times.
