Dana Ballout is a Lebanese-American reporter working for The Wall Street Journal in Beirut covering Syria and refugee issues. She previously worked at Al Jazeera America’s The Stream program in Washington, DC and the United Nations Development Program in Beirut. Ballout was awarded a full McCormick Scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree in Journalism at Northwestern University, and she received a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of California, Irvine.
