Colleen E. Wynn, PhD, is an assistant professor of sociology, co-director of the Community Research Center, and director of the Master of Arts in Applied Sociology at the University of Indianapolis. She is a public voices fellow through The OpEd Project. Dr. Wynn's research examines housing and neighborhood outcomes nexus of race/ethnicity and family structure. She is also currently working on an interdisciplinary project exploring empathy in the college classroom.
