Caterina Preda is Senior Lecturer at the Department of Political Science, University of Bucharest. Her fields of interest include art and politics, dictatorships, artistic memory, democratization studies, post-communism and Latin American studies. Her most recent publications include articles on: “Under Artistic Surveillance. The Relation of [Romanian] Artists with the Secret Police,” "An Artistic Critique From the Margins in Modern Dictatorships," and “Art and Politics in Postcommunist Romania: Changes and Continuities.”
