Archana Sinha
Archana Sinha, a doctorate in agricultural economics, is the head of the Department of Women's Studies at the Indian Social Institute in New Delhi. With experience in the development sector, she is responsible for implementing research on various women's issues. These include rural and urban-based issues on gender and development, the agriculture-related rural economy, livelihood, gender and social exclusion, female workers, food security, nutrition, health promotion and the Sustainable Development Goals. She has worked on evaluation studies and impact assessment for several flagship development programs of the Indian government. Sinha has been involved in the publication of research reports, published nearly 20 books, written several papers on the aforementioned topics, and designed and organized research methodology, advocacy and capacity-building programs.
