Allen Cheng is an epidemiologist and specialist in infectious diseases. Based at the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at Monash University and the Infectious Diseases Unit at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, he is involved in preventing infections and the development of antibiotic resistance in hospitalized patients. He is also involved in surveillance for influenza-related hospital admissions through the FluCAN system at 17 national hospitals.
