Alisher Ilkhamov is a Research Associate at the Centre of Contemporary Central Asia and the Caucasus at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
He is the author of more than 50 publications, among the latest are: Neopatrimonialism, Patronage and Factionalism in Post-Soviet Uzbekistan; Neopatrimonialism in Africa and Beyond (Routledge 2011); and Iakubovskii and Others: Canonizing Uzbek National History.
