Aaron Denison Deivasagayam

Aaron Denison Deivasagayam is Malaysian Indian of Tamil Dissent currently pursuing his PhD at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Hiroshima University. His current research focuses on dominant party politics in Malaysia and Japan. His other research interests covers ethnic politics in Malaysia, regionalism in ASEAN, the role of the Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) in West Papua and inter-Korean relations. During his free time, Aaron likes to go on long jogs, observe and sometimes participate in anti-war or anti-nuclear social movements in Hiroshima City, make homemade onigiri (Japanese rice balls) and also travel to the different prefectures in Japan. Aaron hopes to complete his mission of travelling to all the 46 prefectures in Japan (31 in counting) before he graduates next year.
