Barack Obama looks back at his two terms in office.

On August 6, the last episode of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart was broadcast. Since Stewart took over as host in 1998, he had become more than a household name in America and around the world—more than a comedian, more than a journalist, more than a talk show host.

For many young people growing up with his incisive commentary on America’s politics, culture and the media over the years, Stewart became a voice, a sanity check, a conscience of a generation.

In this video from July, Stewart talks to US President Barack Obama. With one year left in office, the president talks with frankness and humor about the failings and successes of issues such as support for veterans, government efficiency, universal health care, the Iran deal, bipartisanism and much more.

We will miss you, Jon!
