Description
Fair Observer Monthly is a chance for you to sit down, look back and think about the month past. A month lasts 28 to 31 days, a suitably appropriate time to take stock of the world. We publish daily on our website and we select some of our best articles every month in our e-magazine. We will give you context and multiple perspectives on issues that matter. We will inform and educate you. Fair Observer Monthly does what we promise: make sense of the world.
In keeping with the precedent we set in February, we have broken the 10-article limit again. In this edition, we chose 14 articles for your perusal. As in the past, we examine history deeply again. John Bruton, a former prime minister of Ireland and Fair Observer adviser, examines British and Irish history of a century ago. Young historian Tripurdaman Singh explains the controversial legacy of Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first prime minister. We publish Finnish author Joy Hyvarinen on how Finland’s new laws to boost security might be eroding the rule of law itself. We also publish young Indian medical student Maanas Jain, Venezuelan scholar of politics Leonardo Vivas and Spanish professor Josep Colomer on exquisitely interesting topics. Make sense of a consequential month by reading this edition.
